The availability of ethanol at retail service stations and fleet operations isimproving throughout the country. This expansion is made possible by both installation of newequipment or the simple conversion of existing petroleum equipment. As the price of premiumgasoline has approached record highs, its sales have dwindled. For many retailers, offering flexfuel ethanol options has become a more profitable option.

Growth Energy membersrecognizeAmerica needs a new ethanol approach. Growth Energy promotes reducing greenhouse gasemissions,expanding the use of ethanol in gasoline, decreasing our dependence on foreign oil,and creatingAmerican jobs at home.
On a competitive basis, Growth Energy provides financial support to assist with the conversion orinstallation of E85 and — where possible — mid level blend pumps that sell E20,E30,E40and/or E50. Read more about these programs.
Growth Energy provides this financial support and other assistance as a result of ourcommitment to advance the use of domestically produced ethanol. Direct payment grants areavailable on a first-come, first-served basis.
Qualifying applicants must agree to sell the ethanol blended fuels for at least three yearsand follow proper imaging guidelines.

As part of our program working with the U.S. Dept. of Energy (DOE), Growth Energy is offering grants of up to $15,000 to install blender pumps in the Norfolk-Virginia Beach-Newport News area of Virginia and in the Seattle-Everett area of Washington State. Growth Energy has received $200,000 from the U.S. Dept. of Energy to install blender pumps in these two areas. Contact the Market Development team for more information.
